Gig @ Louisiana, 10th March

Ok, bit late notice but no one seems to follow this anyway.

Gig tomorrow @ The Louisiana in Bristol. Support from Isola and Language. Facebook event page here: http://on.fb.me/eqIKW5 Come down and say hello. Great sound in there and good support bands too.

The next gig after tomorrow is on April 19th at The Croft, with Austere & a couple of others.

Thanks to anyone who came to the Porter Bar last Thursday, it was a great night.

The next gig.

Many moons ago we played the Porter Bar in Bath. We collaborated with our friends Rob Sharples and Samantha Crockford for a twist on our usual set. It was packed and turned out to be a great night, so we're hoping to do something similar this time albeit without the acoustic slant. We have two special guests lined up who will be announced shortly. In the meantime here's the Facebook page. See you there.

A visual snippet

Thanks to those that came along on Tuesday to Bar Iguana. Our kind friend Adam did a short video of part of our set. Enjoy. Make sure you click 720p for optimum audio quality. Geek.

Gig. Bar Iguana, Reading. Tuesday 18th January.

We are playing the second Locket's Cabaret @ Bar Iguana, Reading. There'll be some kind of open mic taking place from 8pm then Dead Maids will proceed to unleash some valve-powered assault on the tiny venue. Free soup too. Although I don't recommend eating that while we're playing.

Here's the Facebook page:

Anyone in the vicinity please do come down.

Gig @ St James' Wine Vaults, Bath, 6th November

The last time we played St James' Wine Vaults, I attempted to play a violin and sing (not at the same time, thankfully). This time will be much more straightforward, but no less frightening. Los Lobos del Diablo (aka The Doubtful Guest) shall be headlining, and as it is Matt's birthday there will be stoner rock cover songs, ludicrous 70s outfits and much merriment.

Saturday 6th November. A measly £2. Come along. Here's the Facebook event page if you're that way inclined and want to announce your attendance ahead of time

See you then.

Gig @ Emporium, 16th July

We are playing a slightly different set at the Emporium Gallery, located at 37 Stokes Croft, Bristol, on Friday 16th July. The main event is a photography exhibition by Evi Lemberger, and it's free to get in and you can bring your own booze. Nice. Hopefully see you there. All 5 people who watch this page. Including me. And my mum.

Josh Homme, on an improbable Kyuss reunion

"The offers come in all the time. They're getting more and more expensive, and more and more elaborate. The money is crazy, but I've never been tempted - I don't really care about the money, I never have. That's not what Kyuss was about, so to punctuate the end of our sentence with that would be blasphemy. Kyuss fans are so fuckin' rad, they're fuckin' badass but to me, reunions are just not necessary. It's not what it was, it's what it is, and Kyuss was a really magical thing and if you weren't there, well, you weren't. That's just the luck of the draw. I don't feel the urge to do it for somebody who didn't have the opportunity to see us, or just didn't take the opportunity to see us. I'll let other bands alter their great legacies. Kyuss has such a great history that it would be a total error. I like that nobody saw Kyuss, and that it was largely misunderstood. That sounds like a legend forming to me. I'm too proud of it to rub my dick on it."

Sad, but true.
